Germany: implication of the minimum wage for land-based contractors

The adoption of a new legislation on a minimum wage has multiple impacts on the agricultural and rural contractors of Germany.


Since 1 January 2015, the statutory minimum wage in the German agricultural sector has been € 7.40 in the West and € 7.20 in the East (including Berlin). On 1 January 2016, it increases to € 8.00 (in the West) and € 7.90 (in the East)...
