Comments to the first consultation on the CAP after 2013

The CAP remains essential for sustainable growth, food safety and security, rural development, respect for the environment. To remain efficient, it must better support the activities of the land-based contractors.

During the last fifty years, the agricultural world has been fullytransformed. The CAP can no longer limit itself to defining agriculture asbeing the exclusive domain of the farmer. At least 60% of agricultural work is currently sub-contracted to thirdparties (ARCs).

In conclusion, the representatives of these contractors must befully involved in the implementation of the new Common Agricultural Policy.
