The social responsibility of rural service contractors in the European Union

  • At European level, the two organisations CEETTAR and EFFAT have agreed that information, discussions and joint initiatives will be organised in all fields, including issues linked to Community policy and European legislation, if the latter lead to economic and social consequences for rural service contractors.
  • This information and discussion complies with national and European legislation on the information and consultation of workers.

Joint action plan (2005 - 2008)
For the implementation of European social dialogue

  • The joint action plan defines a series of initiatives agreed by the European social partners of the rural service contractor sector based on the following four political fields: employment, EU expansion, heath & safety and professional training.

More quality employment opportunities

  • The organisations have firmly decided to work together to introduce any initiatives that may be useful or necessary for the development of more enterprises, employment opportunities and quality services in the rural sector.

Joint projects and research initiatives (2006 – 2007 – 2008)

  1. The implementation of European employment policy in the rural service contractor sector.
  2. Development of skills and training for new accredited employment opportunities with rural service contractors.
  3. Rural development: Innovative enterprises create employment opportunities.

Sectorial agreement (26 april 2007)
On in-service training focusing on specialist knowledge and agricultural machinery.
